“Less Hunting, my boy” is a mini-ad for RentalHunt’s innovative auto-apply feature.
The story centers on a grandfather who marvels at how the world has changed. Through a tiny device, the grandson can effortlessly apply for homes. This idea so extraordinary that it blows the grandfather’s mind. In a surreal and dramatic moment, he declares, “My time has come,” and flies away, symbolizing the passing of the torch to a new generation. The punchline, “Less Hunting, my boy,” glorifies the feature and emphasizes the freedom it provides.
Stylized animation with miniaturized, highly expressive characters heightens the surreal, comedic, and dramatic elements. The grandfather’s exaggerated awe contrasts with the grandson’s grounded acceptance, creating both humor and emotional resonance. By presenting auto-apply as a transformative, almost fantastical innovation, the film elevates a simple feature into a moment of epic, cinematic significance.
